I know this sounds like a daft question, but its not one easy to ask people face to face. we have a five year old son and are now trying for another baby, been trying for about 10 months now, my wife got pregnant about five months ago but had a early on misscarage, since then nothing, but what we need to know is just simply in the personal hygein sort of theme, when we have had our session of trying for a baby (polite name for it) how long should we wait untill a wash is needed, if we wash too soon the little fellas might be washed out before theyve had chance to get any where, but if we where to leave it too long a smelly mess might ocur if you know what i mean, how long does it take for the little swimmers to get off on there way , is it a matter of minuits or hours, is it best left all night or will an hour or two be long enough. I know that sounds a bit silly but its not the sort of thing any one knows for sure, and i darnt ask our midwife, she might bight my head off, any idea's any one. please..
i was always a fan of putting my legs in the air afterwards for 20min makes after cuddles difficult but i was convienced but lifting my bottom and legs up gravity would give me a helping hand lmao!!
so i used to sort my self out after that lol

its not a daft question, if your wife lies with a pillow under her bottom for half a hour its helps sperm swim to where its needed anything that comes out afterwards isnt needed and the sperm that was released is well on its way to the right place, i personally wait 2 hourd to bathe i dont think it makes any difference if u have laid still with raised hips, i am very sorry about your misscarriage and i wish u and your wife lots of luck, and u can ask the midwife anything and she will of heard it before and wong bite your head off i promise ann x

Hi, I am yet to get pregnant, so don't take my word for anything! But I don't think that it would make a huge difference, so many little swimmers get released, so the one you need should make it there what ever you do after! I would still say, stay lying down for a while after though, just in case gravity makes it easier! Plus it's nice to have a rest! Let us know how it goes, Kay x
