when to potty train?

Some children can be potty trained at this age, although it is unusual. Since she’s showing the signs and obviously wants to have her nappy off, why not have a go. At this age it may take longer, so don’t rush her, just be led by her. If she wants her nappy off, then let her and just keep reminding her to sit on the potty. Give lots of praise for weeing on the potty and don’t comment if she wees on the floor. The chances are that she’ll think it’s just a fun game, but that doesn’t matter as she will be learning as well. If at anytime it becomes stressful because she’s having too many accidents or she starts to refuse to sit on the potty, then just put her nappy back on and wait a while before trying again.

Hiya, It seems like she might be ready. My sister has 3 boys and they were all a bit later to be ready than my daughter. I have heard that little girls tend to much easier to potty train than boys so if I were you, while the weather is warm, I would just let her toddle around without her nappy on and leave her potty where she can see it and let her go at her own pace. Im sure you know all the obvious stuff about the over-enthusiastic praise from when you trained your son so just do that when she's succesful and she'll get there in no time. I would be preepared for quite a few accidents tho as she is young. But hey, if she's showing signs of being ready maybe she's going to be an independent little thing, bless her! Good luck x

my daughter is 19 months old and keeps taken her nappy off (even when fully dressed) in the garden she does sit on the potty usally going for a wee once she has gotten off of it!!! today she gave me her nappy bag telling me she had poo'ed when i looked she hadnt but within about 2 minutes i could smell it (nice i know)!!! my son was nearly 3 before he showed an intresed in going on the potty. is my daughter too young to do the fully potty training or shall i just leave her to tell me when she needs to go
