So hot at night - shall I leave my baby's grobag off?

Not really sure what to do with my one year old at night - it's so hot and her room is so hot - should I leave her grobag off and just put her to sleep in her pajamas? She woke up last night in the middle of the night (she's normally a good sleeper) and was very irritable. Might be teething but I suspect it's the heat. I can't sleep so how can she!

Definitely! my LO is 5 months, and slept in just his nappy last night it was so warm. I tend to put a sheet over him when I go to bed as it's usually cooled a bit by then, but he kicks it off whatever. Hasn't changed his sleep pattern at all, so I don't think he's getting cold.

I would leave the grobag off for the time being because it is just too hot! My son is 9 months old but because he suffers from eczema quite badly I can't trust him not to claw himself during the night so he has to sleep in a nappy and sleep suit with a fan in his room. xXx

Thanks for the advice! I'm definitely going to leave the grobag off her tonight - nothing wrong with just pj's!! It's suposed to get even hotter by Thursday! It's not like you can open a window to let some air in because there is no air - it's so still! Might just put her in her nappy if it gets really hot...

sounds like a good idea to me. my 16 month old and 2 and a half year old share a room and they have the boiler in there so as you can imagine it can get rather toasty. i just put them to bed in their nappy and put the blanket over them (although it never stays on, lol)
its more dangerous for them if they over heat then get a little chilly (in my opinion)

At least with duvet/quilt/blanket your LO can decide if they need it or not, whereas a grobag they're stuck in however hot they are!

I would leave off the grobag while the weather is this nice. My 1yo has pajamas, then her quilt is on the end of the bed so she can take it down if she wants it in the night.
