hiya hun i whent for a scan last monday i was 8 weeks thay did a belly scan and everythink was fine. i have had 3 m/c and my midwife told me it is safe to carry on having sex
Thanks for that it has put my mind at rest a bit. I'm glad they said everything was ok for you. I take it they only found one? Can you see anything or is it just a heartbeat? xxx
Hiya i had the belly scan first but as she needed to check my ovaries for any reasons for the pain they needed a better view!!! Well that was my first question whether there was only 1 in there are there is history of twins on both sides!! There is only 1 unless another one is hiding behind it!!!! The picture was quite blobby but i could make out sac and then she pointed out baby and which bit was its head and then there was a fluttering in the middle which was its heart beat! To be honest it looked a bit like a cashew nut but was well assured that it was a baby!!! Good luck for yours tomorrow Nicxxx
hey hun its absolutely safe and u can see more that way sometimes early on u cant c a thing but internally u can, i had it done before and it didnt hurt one bit, not sure about sex hun havent heard it before but may be a godsend in this het ha ha,so please dont worry at all x x x

Hiya. Hope you are all not suffering too much with the heat. I am 7 weeks pregnant after concieving using clomid. I have got a scan booked for next wednesday which i am assuming must be an internal one as its very early. I just wondered if anyone knows if it can increase the risk of m/c? The doctor told me not to have sex for the first 3 months (much to my husbands disgust) so is it stil safe to have something else up there? xxx

i didnt need and internal scan at my 7 week scan but did at my 4 week scan, its fine and safe but a bit uncomfortable and i dont no y doctor said no sex, i havce had 2 m/c in past and my midwife said that it was still ok to have sex lol x
Hiya I am 7 weeks and 6 days and had an internal scan yesterday. They assured me there was no risk of m/c by doing this. They didn't go in very far with the scanner thing and it is quite thin. The only time it was a little uncomfortable was when she was trying to get a look at my left ovary and moved the scanner over to one side. But all in all it was really ok and i was very relived to see my little one and the heart beat etc etc. If you are worried speak to your dr or the person who scans you before it is done to put you mind at ease.
