Tips and Tricks for First-time Mums

Hi Ladies, Just starting a thread about little tips and tricks people have found useful along the way of motherhood. Things they don't tell you in the hospital, books etc. Having my first baby monday morning @ 9 by c-section. Not nervous about the pain. Nervous about the little things like night feeding and will I be able to keep my baby happy and content. Just jitters I suppose. So if you have a moment post a tip or trick that you learnt from friends, mothers, sisters etc. I will take all of them on board I promise. Every little helps - probably get sued by tesco for saying that!! Lola x

oh no dont say that!! i have really big boobs and im losing weight to lose a few cup sizes, I dont want them to be saggy :( x
Can you use bio oil to keep the skin supple? If so it will help when you go down a cup size... infact I even saw that superdrug has skinfirming stuff next to thier own version of bio oil today... looks like it's intended to stop saggy boobs as skin tightens round it... certainly that's what the picture implied... you could have a look! Let me know I may want some!!!

oh no, ill have to wear a bra to bed in future :| x
Wearing a bra won't necessarily stop them going saggy, if you lose a cup size they will go saggy anyway due to stretched skin.
Bio oil? But once you have baby I don't know if you can still use this whilst breastfeeding.

About the leaking, I wrapped a towel round me under my t shirt for sleeping, 9 months on and I still leak at night, much comfier than wearing bra all night.
This is a great idea for when my time comes..Hate wearing bra at night, don't think it's healthy to restrict chest continuously!!!

As you were on the subject of boobs... if i were the go to bed without a bra on, over time will my boobs stretch and become bigger?, this had nothing to do with pregnancy or lactating, it's just a general question xx
I dont think they actually get bigger, i think they supposedly get a bit saggy tho. Wouldn'y be able to tell you really as after feeding they're not the same!
