I think it's only natural and quite common. I used to check on my first all the the time and the first time she slept through I woke up at 8 in a complete panic thinking something was wrong!! You'll learn to relax over time x
When my LO is quiet i.e sleeping for a while I have to have a close look at her, and find Im always checkin if she's breathing, and if I cant tell will gently blow on her face to see if she moves. Am I just being wayyyy stupid? lol xx
yr not stupid hun i don't think there is one mum in the world who hasn't done that. i tickle the palm of my daughters hand to see if shes breathing lol i have done it with all 4 an they have all slept on an apnea monitor lmao x sumtimes i wake in the night just to check her...my eldest is nearly 16 an i still check him although he is easier cos he snores lol xx

I do this too, thought I was a wierdo! Lol, I haven't woken him up yet luckily. Even now hes 6 months I still do it. I even check my 3 year old when she's sound asleep. At least it shows we care! xxx
im glad to see im not the only one who does this my o/h always moans cuz sumyimes i accidently wake baby up but if i wake during the night i have to go make sure he ok and if i wake before him in yhe morning.
