Where do I start??? You'd think I'd never doe this before????

Ok I have no idea where to start with baby stuff, I don't know what I'm having yet I'm 14 weeks so I've got ages left but I really cannot think what I need to buy for baby. wasnt planning on another so got rid of all my daughters stuff so all we have is a cot and mattress and a door bouncer and a steriliser lol, I really can not think what a baby needs, obviously a pram and car seat but im on a mental block want to try and make a list to make it more affordable one thing a week but it's just not happening? any ideas ladies (and the odd fella??) Thanks Sarah xxx

Try and look through the Mothercare catalogue - at the back it has a little checklist which gives you a good clue of the types of things that you need and quantities. As for clothes - just remember that people tend to buy you cute outfits but not basics like bodysuits/sleepsuits. Just get a few 3pks of the latter and maybe a 7pk of bodysuits. Bedding - get 4 bottom sheets and maybe a couple of blankets of diffrent types ie cotton and fleece. The mentioned stores also have a Babyplan scheme which allows you to choose more expensive items and pay for them over a six month period (or when you need them - which ever is the shortest time). It's not like credit as you don't get the goods until you pay for them, and they get delivered on the day of your choice at an address of your choice. If you are spending over £250 you get money off vouchers too.....just a thought!

when i did my list i did it in sections so sleep/bedtime, bathtime/hygeine, travel, feeding, and stuff that i needed.
and then under these headings i put all the things i could possibly think of so under bathtime i put baby bath, towels, toiletries, nappies, change mat, essential clothing etc. hope this helps a little x
