Huni,you need to take it easy,when i was at that stage i was feeling very ill and ended up in hospital on a drip for a week and i was so weak and sick,no job is worth the health of your baby,you need to tell work your pregnant,they can't sack you,and cut your hours till you feel better...i'm now 23 weeks and feel so much better,although i have just been made redundant and can't find another job as i'm pregnant,so looks like i'm off till jan now!

I think you should just say that you have only just found out you are pregnant. If ou get teh sack because you are pregnant that is unfair dismissal and you should have a case against your boss. You have to be honest now for the sake of your health and that of your babies. Take care of yourself.

Hunny, what are you doing? You have to be honest about your pregnancy, she can't sack you!!! If you are off sick all the time and clearly making up excusses you won't last... if you are honest they have to make adjustments for you - it is a legal requirement!!! you can certainly say you just found out, but you ought to tell her you have had 2 miscarriages in the past... Maybe even say that because of the miscarriages you had decided not to try and get pregnant. They have to look after you, and you know you need to take it easy... if your work is causing you so much of a headache is it really worth doing? Please look after yourself hun!!! I know how much you want this baby... I know we all need money coming in, but there are other jobs out there, even in the credit crunch, and your baby's and your health is more important than anything.

Remember that they can not sack you for being pregnant and the law means that your employer is expected to make reasonable adjustments if you're going to have a baby. 72 hours in a week is too much for anyone - so is a definate no no if you're pregnant. Tell them you just found out - you never know they might be really great about it.

They can't sack you for being pregnant, even if you are on trial. I would tell them you just found out.

when i was just 6 weeks pregnant i took on a job as a care worker i can pick my hours as im what they call bank staff (do the sifts no 1 else is going 2) however i didnt tell them i was pregnant as i was sure they wouldnt take me on, i have been at my job for about 7 weeks and am now 13 weeks + 3 pregnant and have still not told them. my manger begged me 2 do a night sift on thursday just gone (a 8pm-8am shift) an hour b4 i had to go in i got gd old pregnancy symptoms like faiting, sickness, hotflusses and god knows what else but there was no why i could no a night shift as i felt so very weak - so i had to ring in sick but as they dont no im pregnat had to tell a white lie and say i didnt no y i was faiting/being sick ect anhd and going to hospital as im not usally like this. my manger is now wanting me to do 72 hours this week but feel so sh't i dont think i could mange more the 30 hours (thats if im lucky) i have had another 2 days off coz of this and on monday im in for a 12 hour shift im thinking of telling my manager i have just found out im pregnant to cover my back and say i have 2 cut the 72 hours she wants me to work 2 at lest 30 really scared how she would take this and OH says she will probs sack me coz i am still on trail, dont no what to do plus have had 2 m/c in the past and have been told by midwife to take it easy any advice plz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
