The dye test

I've also had it done about 3 mnths ago, I found that last 10-15 seconds painful, but the rest was ok. As the other reply said it isn't unbearable. I hardly bled at all. Unfortunately it hasn't done anything for me either, but I do know my tubes are ok and I have no cysts.etc. I took a friend to drive me home, in case I felt a bit off. I also had suppositories, which you have to insert before you go in-but I don't think everyone has them. xc

Yes, currently going through investigations now as been trying for 14 months. Done pretty much all of what you have suggested and followed the website as well as ovulation sticks. Been told my previous kidney failure and low weight should not be major factors and a scan of my uterus and ovaries have proved ok. The next step is the tubes.

hi it was painful for me but everyones different.it wasnt unbearable and the pain stopped after the test waas finished.you do bleed a little though.it is meant to make you slightly more fertile as it is thought it can remove small blockages.it isnt working for me though i'm on month 2 after hsg and already i know that once again i'm not pregnant.good luck dont worry about it you'll feel releived once its over and may get results straight away.i was very emotional for a few days after.tc

are you worried about being infertile? when i wen tot my doctor he told me its a lot harder to test fertility in women than men. they don't put it in your tubes though they put it in your uterus (well that's what he told me). And i haven't had it done but if you are trying to have a baby, look on the ovulation calender and work out two days before ovulation...and try every two days until ovulation is done...I went on this one site and it said that you could do it every day between from two days before ovulating for the best chances. i tried at night though so that I'd wait the whole day until trying again....waiting until Thursday to get a test as I am already a few days late and I haven't had cramps to say my periods coming. I've been trying for ages and then i just followed my ovulation dates and that sites advice and well yeah...look where i am now :) good luck

Has anyone else had the dye put throught their tubes? Did it hurt? I have been told its painful and now I am really worried about having it done. I doesn't have any harmful effects on your reproductve organs does it???
