20 month old

Has anyone else tried potty training yet? I tried to put my 20 month old on the potty and it didn't go very smoothly. Am I trying too early?

Hi - I'm at that stage as well but haven't tried my daughter yet. Through past experience (all of 10 and 14 years ago I may add!) I found the potty a waste of time. Both my older daughters would not entertain sitting on it at all. I was most successful with the toddler seat on top of the loo with a little step for my first born and just went straight on to that with my 2nd and had no problems at all. It was probably because they had a bit more privacy and felt like they were doing what everyone else in the family was doing instead of being on show in the middle of the room and expecting to fill the potty! May be worth a try - you never know.
