The Triplets Are Coming Home!!!!!!!!!!! :) x
Hi girlies, its Kate :)
I havnt been on for a while as we've been preparing for 3 little girlies to finally come home :) Jasmine came home on monday 27th July weighing a lot more than she was born and FINALLY fitting into prem clothes properly! She has been a miracle baby - so so good! Isla and Indy ADORE her and have been having endless cuddles with her! Emme is coming home TOMOROW! After suspected swine flu she was kept in a few more days than Jasmine, but turned out to be fine! Shes getting big too, and her and Jasmine are competing with their weight! Weeny Alexa is coming home NEXT WEEK! You wouldnt believe the things shes overcome in the last few weeks - so quickly, we thought it would be weeks before she would come out, but they said theres no reason for her to be in there anymore! You can see that her and Emme really miss Jasmine - theyre constantly looking to the side for her as before she came home they were in together all the time. Jasmine is REALLY missing her sisters, she hates being on her own without them but we take her to visit most days unless shes tired. Its just lovely to know that its the start of whats going to be a very amazing year, although demanding at times as you can imagine!!!! We have employed a live in nanny now, the first night we had Jasmine home on our own was exciting and everything but we've faced the facts that unless we have some kind of help we simply wont be able to cope. Indy has started being unsettled in the night, i think its just from a lot of change recently, we only have to go and put her dummy in like once but she still whinges a few times. And Jasmine also was very unsettled, not surprisingly of course, but by the second night we knew that 3 of this would be unfair on them and us; the triplets are used to being soothed the minute they cry from the nurses on SCBU, but now they need to learn to start soothing themselves.......... We bought the Mountiain buggy triple and it was anightmare, i couldnt get ANYWHERE, came home from the test stroll in tears as i loved it, so we went for the more practiacl peg perego 2009 which is a complete beaut! LOVE it to bits now!!!!!!!!! Want to say thanks o everyone for helping me so much, and i know i said that once i have the triplets i'll never moan again - i think i'll break that within minutes! Loads of love Kate, Jone, Isla, Indy, Jasmine, Emme and Alexa xxxxxxx

just wanted to say i met a mum of triplets at the weekend and she had a nanny too and it made perfect sense to have someone to take the workload of .. remember the nany only worls a few hours a day the mum works 24/7!! only wish i could afford 1 :-(
Ahh yes shes so handy, especially when my husband goes back to work and everything.
Obviously i didnt get one so that i could jet of to the maldives and leave her with all my children, its just i needed an extra pair of hands to help me get through the day lol!
x
Wow how exciting that means they will be home now yes?? I hope you're all settling in well, I'm sure Indy and Isla had a lovely time at the zoo, I'm a tad jealous of them!
Haha that's so cute them in the fridge! (Less so for you I imagine!) but at least they're eating cucumber and drinking orange juice, I know if it was Ryan he'd go straight for the chocolate, or the meat for the nights tea lol. I can't find anything in our kitchen anymore cos my mum keeps moving stuff, when I ask her its "so that Ryan can't find them" (generally biscuits, cakes, cereal, raisins etc) but nobody else can find them either!
Yeh I have no problem with blood, it was just that he'd hurt himself so much that I couldn't cope!
I hope you're all settled in now (of sorts!) how exciting I bet it's lovely having your whole family at home together =]
Hey! Just jumped on here for a second whilst the triplets are ALL sleeping!
Last night was absolutely fantastic, we stayed up until 11pm cuddling the girls (me, mum, my sister and jonny) and then at 11 we gave thema a bottle and put them to bed in our room in their moses baskets, put the monitors on and went downstairs; we also put some music on to help them relax. Alexa found it a bit hard to settle so i had to stay with her for 2 minutes rubbing her tummy and she went off - the other 2 went to sleep straight away. We all went straight to sleep, then at 2.30am ish Jasmine and Emme woke up so me and jonny gave thema bottle and as soon as Jasmine finished hers and was burped and settled Alexa woke up for her bottle. All 3 were angels and settled straight away. then at 5.30-6am All 3 woke for their bottles, but Alexa just lay between me and jonny and was just dosing whilst we fed Jasmine and Emme then Jonny fed Alexa - all 3 settled perfectly again. Then my mum and sister got Indy and Isla up at 6.45-7ish but they wanted to all get into bed together so my mum, sister and both girls just lay in bed together giggling. We all went downstairs at 7.30am got breakfast and then the triplets woke up about 8.15, had cuddles, got all the girls ready. And we were all ready at about 9.45! (inc mum and sister!) Which really pleased me because if i was ready we could've been much quicker, we all just lazed around til the triplets got up today really. Soo soo pleased with them, when they were still in SCBU we started getting them into a routine, and teaching them to settle themselves - which has obviously been very successful, and we also asked the nurses to try our technique so that at home they can settle themselves and get into a routine as to when to wake up. They also seem a lot more relaxed, when had just Jasmine at home she didnt seem happy, and when she was asleep she didnt like not having Emme and Alexa there. We're thinking about having one of their cots with a side off attached to our bed kind of with all 3 of them going width ways rather than 'normal'. They can definitely fit because theyre so tiny, and that way they can be next to each other.
Definitely going to keep the routine up, could live with it forever, they were just little dreams last night!
Because its been so hot today, all of us went in our pool and put the triplets on the side in their bouncy chairs so they could watch us. Isla and Indy loved it - they love swimming! And the triplets kept staring at the roof because they could see the sun really bright, and im sure that all 3 of them were smiling when they were looking at us. They looked adorable!
You wouldnt believe how many visitors we've had today! I love it though! And you cant blame people, 3 babies is much more exciting than 1, so my friends and family have flocked from all over the world to come and see us (slight exaggeration). I have said that friends and family from different countries can come in like a week or 2 so they can stay in the guest house and make more of a holiday rather than coming for a few days.
Ahh its just so lovely to have all the family back togehter, Indy and Isla do like it but theyre both a bit upset if all 3 girls are crying. Earlier they were all hungry and crying for milk and Indy and Isla got a bit tearful because they thought it was them who had made them cry!
Ahh anyway i've gone on too much!
thanks hun! Lots of love from Kate and all the girlies!
P.S we went out in the quad buggy today! Indy couldnt be bothered to walk, shes been a bit ill last few days so she wanted to go in the buggy, and we forgot we had it so we were like OMG QUAD BUGGY! Ahh its amazing! xxxxxxx
God they would be the most hardest twins to look after! You'd basically live in hospital! Indy is constnantly getting grazes on her chin, cheeks etc its ridiculous! But yeah you know they havnt hurt themselves too badly when the first thing they ask for is a biscuit lmaaoo! Its just the initial scream, as Indy's mum i know by her scream whether shes hurt herself properly or not. Its just the huge bang then silence whilst they take a humungous breath then a bloody curdling scream, and its awful becuse you can anticipate it and you know its really hurt them. Aww bless him! The eyebrow and lip thing sounds awful! *ahh whilst i writ this i hear 2 little giggles coming from the kitchen, go to investigate and find my angels sitting inside the fridge - Indy munching on a cucumber, and Isla drinking orange juice out the carton; oh i just love their little daily fridge raids. We have a big double fridge, so theyre constantly going in there to find something to eat (havnt yet found a lock), but we thought if we put foods they dont like on the bottom shelves they wont eat it, but Indy being the chimp she is just climbs up the shelves to the top to find cucumbers obviously?! Yesterday when it was really hot, they went and sat side by side in the bottom of the fridge to cool off - was soo funny!* I just hope the triplets aren't accident prone, if they are i might aswell hire a medic to sit outside the house in his ambulance 24 hrs a day :) lol Blood doesnt bother me much tbh, i used to have loads of nosebleeds; its just when your on your own in the house and one has an accident and its like ah fu*k wat do i do?! Hhaha how funny, cant wait til the triplets get bigger and they can go in their walkers and stuff! Theyre coming home today! I was up at like 5 this morning making sure everything is ready, but they've said to relax this morning, make sure everythings ready and they'll call us when to come in because they've got to do loads of medical stuff like making sure theyre all ready, packed all the tripelts things and medications, checking them out, doing tests and stuff like that; and they've said it will be hard trying to run around getting 3 babies ready so it will just be easier if we go when theyre completely ready. So everyones said they'll leave us for a few hours to settle back in and then i'll have family and friends to visit late afternoon, and then some can stay over or whatever! My mum and sister came this morning to help us out, then my mum is staying with Indy and Isla whilst me, Jonny, my sister and the nanny go to pick up the triplets. We wanted Serena (the nanny) to come, incase she ever had to go back with them or something, and my sister just wanted to come, and then theres millions of bags and everything lol! So its all very exciting, but i've just come on here so i dont drive myself crazy with thinking of things to do. My mum is gunna take the girls off to the zoo in a bit to give me and Jonny a bit of time to plan everything and just have a bit of time before everything goes crazy! Sitting here with 5 different phones (my mobile, Jonnys, Jonny's work phone, home phone, and my old work phone) incase they ring on a different phone or something. VERY excited!
Sorry i've gone on so much! xxxx

I have this image in my head now of Ryan and Indy in a room together cos they sound like twins lol. I know for sure that biscuits his priority too, we ignore the ouch until the biscuit is safely in his hand and then he tells us ouch lol. Latest additions to his injuries (we've been in the lakes for 3 days) are a mark on his cheek, arm and somehow one on his chin. Just doesn't seem like Ryan if he doesn't have a mark on his chin =] I hate when Ryan gets seriously hurt I'm so glad it never happens! When he cut his eyebrow me and Michael were in the other room and we heard the bang and the scream and then my mum (who was in the room with him) just went "Rachaelllllll there's blood I can't loooooooooook!!!". It's stupid cos we're all first aid trained (me my mum and my dad) and can cope perfectly well with other kids (we're guiders and scouters) but when it's your own it's different. I just went "call dad, he'll know what to do" lol. We got to a&e and all was fine until we had to hold Ryan down to glue it back together, and I almost fainted. I felt so stupid fainting in a&e, even though thats clearly the best place to do it lol. Luckily I could sit down before I did! Same when he bust his lip, on his birthday this year, me and his dad were in the kitchen making lunch and he was in the living room chasing a balloon with michael's mum and all of a sudden there was a crash, silence, scream. He'd fallen into the wooden tv stand and bust his lip. We made sure no teeth had fallen out etc and then I almost fainted again so I had to go lie down. Stupid things motherhood makes us do ey! Haha loving the triplets in bouncers! At the toddler group I go to there are a few babies about 6 months old and theres 2 bouncers and last time I was there 2 little boys were in them and one kid had a toy that the other one wanted but he didn't want to give him it and the trays made it so that they couldn't reach each other and they were just chasing each other round it was soo funny I can just imagine it with your triplets and I bet the girls will be winding them up chasing them round too! haha. hope you're all good now and the triplets can come home again soon! =]

Oh my god they sound creepily alike! My friends can never believe that shes really really hurt her head and then stand up and walk off and not even notice - although its quite worrying how she doesnt seem to notice! But yeah like Ryan somedays even if she falls onto carpet in slow motion and doesnt hurt anything she puts on this pained cry!
Normally if i say to her ooh would you like a biscuit and then she walks in to get one and really hurts her head, then she'll cry but then shes actually crying 'biiiccssiiitttt, mummmmyyy biccsiittt' its bloody hilarious!
We've only had 1 a&e, she was bouncing around on the sofa, with her father i must add ;), and suddenly i heard this huge bang; she'd flung her head back whilst jumping around and hit it on a china ball thing (really nice actually), and cracked it into pieces. Then theres that silence where they cant physically cry, and then just let out this almighty scream and fell onto the floor and just lay there silent and still - i tell you now it scared the sh!t out of me. It really upsets you to see them like it, obviously she was concussed and just kept drifting in and out of sleep, you should of seen us singing and saying all this cr@p to keep her awake in the car. Aww bless him, maybe its the pox? Apparently theres LOADS going round atm! Isla was like that before she got them. Aww bless him with the potty training, thats fab! Im dreading trainging Indy, shes so obsessed about her own poo and wee! Ahh i love hearing life stories, glad its not just my child with the strange head thing!
Yeah someone else said about putting tracking devices on them all lmaoo, imaginethe triplets in a couple of months all banging around in their walkers ahaha! Ahh i know really that theyre better off there but i just hate how they made such big steps and then loads back, but yeah i really dont want them to get the lurgy. xxxxxxxxx

Yep, ryan has a constant bump on his forehead, if you look at him from above he normally has a big point coming out of the middle of his head, or maybe it's a devil horn (certainly could be today!). It's pretty bad at the minute cos last weekend we were at my grandmas with all the family around and he walked into a door (bounced back and they couldn't believe he just blinked, rubbed it, and then ran through said door lol) and then the next day he fell over and bashed it on the floor in exactly the same place. He also normally has a cut/graze on his chin, although at the moment that one is alright, instead he has a scrape on the bottom of his back, how he did that I'll never know! (I do watch him, but he throws himself about so much I tend not to pay attention unless its at something like the marble fire surround!) Depends what sort of mood he's in, if he's in a clingy mood, no matter how tiny his ouch is he'll make everyone kiss it better, but he normally just bounces back so if we hear crying we run as fast as we can. I'm surprised we've only been to a&e once! (he tripped over his own feet as soon as he got in the door, my mum had reorganised and moved his toys to a different part of the room after christmas and he was very excited, tripped over his own feet, or possibly not even that lol, and smacked into one of our chairs which has wooden surrounds and cut his eyebrow (sooo lucky it wasn't his eye, it was damn close!), he cried initially and once he had a biscuit in his hand he was fine, but didn't like it when we had to hold him down to glue it back together!). It's not wrapping them in cotton wool, its just sensible in a playroom! Esp when the triplets get about, I imagine that's going to be great fun, maybe you should invest in a cctv camera in every room hehe. And I'm very well thank you, other than the nightmare day we've had. Ryan woke up miserable, and nothing you could do could make it better. But OH is not used to this (I don't know how but Ryan only seems to have these days when he's at work, seem a little unfair) and has wound him up all day, and of course when I tell him not to it's all my fault and I get left to deal with a very unhappy boy! He is FINALLY in bed and I think has dropped off to sleep now. Hoping for a better day tomorrow as we're going to visit my Gran in scarborough! On the plus side potty training is going well :) he's had no nappy on most of the time and the past 2 days we've only had 2 accidents of him weeing all over the floor, now I just have to work out how we get him to tell us when he has pants on... So there you are, my life story too! Hope you get better from your swine flu, the girls are definately better off in SCBU, just take it easy, soon your house will be full again and you won't know whether you're coming or going :)

I know, Indy is exactly the same; my friends keep making me take her to get her sight checked and everything because its actually ridiculous - she can fall over absolutely nothing and hit her head on concrete, get a MASSIVE bump all purple and everything, and she does it about 25 times in one day. Im not sure her head can take much more! At the hospital i asked the pediatriian and he said that if its as bad as what im making out then she could have something wrong with her ears which is putting her off balance so i must make an oppointment (thats what i had to do!). But Indy is quite god about it, she hardly ever cries when she hits her head (guess shes like immune to it now), so when she properly screams you know shes really hurt it; so many people look at her when we walk out the door (same door shes just run into) and go into the village as though i beat her or something! *ahh im going on too much now* But its not because i want to wrap them in cotton wool and not let them get hurt its just i think it will really help because they spend a lot of time in their playroom now but its got like marbley tiled floor which is just stupid as a playroom because they (and me) are always tripping over a tiny toy and hurting themselves.
Ahh she is perfect! Im trying not to let her do too much because i dont want a nanny doing more than a parent should if you know what i mean? Although today i have the day to myself, Isla and Indy are at pre-school, and because of the swine flu i've caught now the triplets are back in hospital which im not happy about but they've said that it would be definite for them to catch it and because theyre so tiny they'll get really ill from it, so now i have nothing to do?
I think when the triplets start rolling over and crawling it will be a complete nightmare, i'll probably lose them around the house all the time! And also in a couple more months they'll sleep way less, where as atm they sleep a lot of the time so its quite easy, and i'll have to do things with each one! Imagine in a couple of months 3 walkers scooting around the place, and 3 door bouncers lmaaooo!
Oh god i've gone on way too much, bu i havent been oon here for days so im making up for it! xxxx p.s i havnt even asked about you :O hjow rude! How are you! lol xxx
