Expensive Nursery Fees

I am not sure if I have put this in the right place but I really just need to have a rant about nursery fees. My son attends a nursery which was well priced and affordable at £41:37 per day but we received a letter yesterday advising about the intended increase to £45:00 per day from September 2009. I know this isn't alot but when you are already stretched with nursery fees it really takes the PISS! Does anybody else feel like nurseries are just a money spinner and they take the mic out of hard working parents like myself. Fell better now, rant over! xXx

Hi! Just seen your post - my G*d I nearly fell over when I looked into nursery and childminder fees!!! Yeah seems like they certainly are gold mines for those who own them : ( I hate the fact that so many of us now can't afford to stay at home and look after bubs because housing is so exspensive. Or we don't want to leave a career that's taken years of hard graft to build up but have to stump up so much because we've got no choice. These places seem to know that modern parents are between a rock and a hard place! I'm hoping to take some time off work and do some freelance work after, but with the economy shafted at the mo who knows?! Oh yeah, hubby has redundancy hanging over his head too - ahh don't ya just love work and money ; ) xxx
