Growth / Gender Scans :)

My husband and I did go for the 4D scan but that was because the hospital I chose to give birth in did not carry out a second scan at 20 weeks so I would not have known we were having a baby boy and I couldn't have that. I'd personally wait. The 4D scans can be pricey when you add everything you want up and you'll be lucky enough to find out 4 weeks later anyway

I did pay to have a gender scan at 16 weeks,as i just couldn't wait till 20 weeks,i knew i was being made redundunt at 22 weeks so i wanted get everything for the baby as soon as possible before i left work.

It was personally worth having done as i got a DVD and fab pics of my lil girl,i'm also having a 4D scan tomorrow and i can't wait to see how much my angel has changed since 20 weeks!!

I assume they will tell me if the baby will cooperate! My sister lives in Portsmouth and when she was pregnant the hospital had a policy of not telling you the sex so she had to pay privately. Its just we have lots of boy baby clothes from when I was pregnant with Lucas and they are obviously still brand new so am kind of wanting to know cos if the baby is a girl then I need to try to convince the shops to let me swap them and get girl stuff.

I would wait if they defo will tell you! I think the are i am in is the only area that dusnt tell you the sex! :P So we r waiting on a surprise! Next time i'm going to pay to go private -no patience!lol x

I'd wait the four weeks, we paid £95 for a private 3d scan at 27 weeks which was well worth it but earlier on i wouldnt want to pay out, especially if you know that in a few weeks you will be back again.
Four weeks will go quickly, i have to have the same, and the first 4 week wait seemed like an eternity but now its going a lot quicker :) x

I would wait the 4wks but its up to you! If you cant wait then go for it x

Hey we are 16+6 now and had a growth scan yesterday to check that our little one is growing properly. In my last pregnancy the doctors think that our little one was growth impaired from around 16 weeks so are really happy that this baby seems ok at the moment. Yesterday the lady doing the scan said she thought the baby might be a girl but she couldn't really tell cos the baby was in a really silly position. Should I book a private gender scan or should I just be patient and wait 4 weeks for next scan?
