I am sitting here with m s shey lo laying in my arms...i am also eating a cheese sandwich...she is watching me an "chewing" lol she looks very funny and she just grabbed my bottom lip and tried to gab my food lol. I had to laugh an she got a bit moody with me next she put her hand in her mouth..now she is trying to grab my sandwich from my hand when i put it to my mouth lol. lmao an she is shouting at me when i move it away ....she is so funny
hiya....my LO is 5 months now. shes been tasting food on her dummy or lip for a while now. at least 10 wks +. it dont her no harm at all. she loves her grub now. shes been on baby food now since about 16 wks or maybe just before. very slowly building it up and her main source of nutition is still her milk but she has now half a jar of porridge in a morning. half a jar of whatever food i give her plus 4 oz's of milk 4hrs later. then 2/3 more feeds in the remainder of the day. she sleeps through everynight and is gaining weight healthily. its so funny when she opens her mouth wide waiting for her little spoon lol. x
My LO is 10 weeks old. We let him smell our food, we put it under his nose so he can get a good whiff. He always stops wriggling about and seems really interested (obviously we're not going to give him any for a few months yet) Every time I let him smell a banana he smiles and laughs!
hey....my son is 6 months old now but i started giving him tastes of pureed fruit & baby rice when he was about 3 and a half months. He was showing alot of interest in our food when we were eating and his first teeth had come through by then anyway (he was also able sit up with support & had good head control)!!! lol! He took to it really well and enjoys his baby food!!!
Although the health visitor did say not to start weaning till 6 months I could tell he really wanted it!!!
It should be ok as u can start of with baby rice or rusks. Alot of the baby food in jars are suitable from 4 mths anyway so give it a try...she may decide she doesn't like it!!!! Good luck xx
