Talking to her is really good read her books talk nonsense to her my lil boy loved that.
At this age a baby’s favourite toy is you! It is wonderful that you are thinking about playing with her but it is really very simple for small babies. She will be very fascinated by your face, and if you just hold her in front of you so that you make eye contact, and just chat to her about anything in a soft, loving voice, she will respond in a delightful way. This is a two-way communication, so watch for how she reacts- as you say you think she is already laughing at you.
I heard just the other day that nursery rhymes may have gone out of fashion, and thought that was a real shame as generations of babies have loved them. You could try the old favourites like “Round and round the garden”, “Twinkle, twinkle little star”, This little piggy went to market”. If your baby doesn’t enjoy an activity, just stop and wait until she is older. It may interest you to know that all the kind, loving interactions with parents –cuddles, singing, chatting actually help to build new connections in a baby’s brain, so you really don’t have to worry about her development if you are doing all of this. It is much more valuable than any “educational toys”. However, play is one of the main ways babies learn about the world, and from 0-3 months they usually enjoy cuddly squishy toys, a softly shaken rattle or a colourful mobile. Good for you thinking about all this.
Hey thanks =) I do sing and chat to her, she is 10 weeks old now! Sometimes she is more giggly than other times, but I will definately be singing the old classics!! You can't really beat those old nursery rhymes in my opinion... x

Ava Lily is 10 weeks old and i play peek-a-boo, this little piggy on her toes, round and round the garden, sing with her, talk to her lots, tickle her especially under her chin xxx
I used to walk round the house showing LO different things, anything brightly coloured or black and white things. Walking round the garden too.
Is there a Sure Start Centre or anything near you? We signed up for Baby Massage classes at ours and Lucas loves it! It's very relaxing for me too and I've met some lovely people too. The songs we sing and massage we do you can easily do on your own at home too, so I'd definitely recommend it x
I've just got a leaflet about it, I just need to find the time lol and the weather needs to be nice for me to walk all the way there, but thanks for the advice I'll definatley try that! x
