hi, my hubby is really hard to find gifts for but i found out his fave music artist and got him something related to it or is there a film he likes that doesn't have on dvd, i suppose it depends on his age aswell.

Depends what kind of man he is; my husband is a proper man man but goes soft for painted mugs and stuff! About a month ago it was his birthday, so i took our 5 girls to have professional pictures done, they were cute but the kids just got bored; so i asked if i was alowed to be in the picture - so i did, my elder 2 girls stood around me whilst i held the triplets but it was a picture taken by accident when none of us were looking that was my favourite! My husband was nearly in tears, he thought it was really beautiful! See if he says anything he wnats over the next few weeks! x

Yea i know what you mean. I might dig for some hints when i next see him!! Thanks ladies, any more ideas please say x
The Argos catalog is always quite good. Before christmas it goes round in the family and everyone is marking things they'd like. That way its still a surprise but you know they'll definately like it.
Other than that, depending on how much you want to spend you could always organise a trip away. That always makes a nice present. And I am not talking on splashing out loads of cash. Once we did a trip to Warwickshire, stopped in a nice hotel, had a meal, went to the museums and the attractions round there, and it was all under 200pound for the weekend. Depending on where you live that might be an option that works.
Very cheap alternatives are vouchers for "favours", lol. Could be of any kind ;) Massages, candlelight dinner, whatever springs to mind. Just be inventive, that way you wont waste money on gifts he doesnt need or use either. Hope that helps:)
btw staceyandliam, I'm not implying your gift ideas are a waste of money. Its just Im allergic to some perfumes and stuff so people know not to buy me anything to do with that, and my OH isnt particularily keen on the gift packs with boxers and gel, which is why they are kind of banned from our christmas;) we're both kind of pculiar with what we like and dont like so there. Putting it all in a big Santa sack is a great idea though, and I bet its good fun unpacking it all! xx

Personally, instead of "wasting money" we always either tell each other exactly what we want, so we can go and make it worthwhile, or we go on a special day out where we buy each other the presents whilst shopping (so he can try the clothes on, etc) and then wrap them up later. Alternatively I'm sure there are on or two little things you know he might need or want, so I'd go for that. But we're not big fans of the common not-so-sure presents and rather buy what we know will make the other one happy.
