ovarian cysts

HI Laura, Thanks a lot for your reply. I'm pretty much pain free now apart from a few twinges so glad I stuck it out rather than going into hospital. I found the whole experience really scary, even though I had problems with my previous pregnancy I didn't know what was happening and feared the worst. I'm now anxiously awaiting my scan appointment to confirm that everything is ok with the baby and the cyst so fingers crossed xx.

Hi, hope your doing okay! I had a cyst on my left ovary at 10 weeks it was 2.5cm and I had some pretty painful cramps etc I done what you are and stuck it out only took 4 paracetamol in the space of 3 weeks they offered pain management but I declined. Went for 12 week scan on the 23rd and the cyst is gone!!! It might be worth just sticking it out for a few more weeks as they said it was likely hormones would kill the cyst anyway. Good luck xxxx

I know the best place would be hospital but I had a pretty bad experience when I was in hospital having my daughter. she is 2 1/2yr old and is a bit poorly at the moment so I'm reluctant to leave her. how long were you hospitalised for and what treatment can they offer? I was given the impression hat there's not a lot that can be done?

ooo i know what that feels like. i had them a few years back and i could not even walk. to be honest if the pain is that bad then the safest place for you to be is the hospital. for you and the babies sake. no one likes going to hospital but maybe they can help to get the pain down or even reduce the cysts. hope you feel better soon and can enjoy your pregnancy. take care :)

HI, I am 9weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby and have been suffering severe pain for last 4 days. I attended my local maternity hospital and a scan revealed that I have a cyst on my right ovary. I have been taking paracetamol but it has no affect on the pain and the midwives have advised me that I can be admitted for pain management. I don't know how much longer I can cope with the pain but want to avoid going into hospital. If anyone has any help or advice they can give me it would be really appreciated?
