I think it's lovely, I have a Silver Cross too. I went for the 3D pram system one:
http://www.silvercross.co.uk/our-range/pram-systems/3D/
but I see the other one has loads of extras just now!
I loved the look of it but couldnt find it anywhere and when I did I was really surprised at how HUGE it was, the wheels are massive and theres no way you could get it on a bus without an effort (which is a must for me) I had 11 prams/pushchairs with my daughter die to back problems and them not being suitable and finally ended up with a mamas and pappas alfie pushchair. I LOVE mamas and pappas and I've gone for another this time, the herbie and I absolutely love it can't wait to use it. most people I know that have bought silver cross prams have sold them not long after basically because of the weight and the space but they are meant to be comfortable for baby and nice to push x
I have a Silver Cross pram for sale. It was given to me by a friend and its in VGC. I'm not sure whether its a sleepover or a mayfair, but if it is the sleepover, it doesn't have the moses basket base. I think it might be the sleepover because it has the classic base, which is the traditional silver coloured frame with white wheels. It has the bassinette (carry cot) fixture as well as the adjustable seet, cosy toes, hood, 'cosy toes' for bassinette and silver cross branded rain cover. The handle also adjusts postion for height and comfort. It's dark blue in colour with white trim and blue and white check pattern inside.
My car isn't big enough for it, but it really is a beautiful pram!
£150 ono.
Thanks!
hiya i have this pram and i love it its so comfy for lo who stayed in pram mode till he was about 6 month and the hood is really good for shade as its quite big and the cosytoes is really thick and padded and it pushes lovely, my pram was a bit stiff to take off the frame for the first few days but after that it was fine . the only bad points are that it is quite bulky so u will need a big boot and somewhere to store pram hope this helps x
Yea i think so. Are you getting one?
Thanks for the comments ladies, anyone heard anything bad about it? x
Been looking at the pliko pramette since before I was pregnant! But did a search after your post of several different ones and now thinking maybe I've just go too stuck on my original idea and need to look again :) I've only ever heard good things about silver cross, the only thing is although it has a picture of the folded frame it doesn't give many dimensions so I'd say if you can find a shop that stocks it to check it out first, how easy it is to remove the carry cot/pram bit and then fold, how easily it pushes ect. Always good to know as well if it will fit in your car boot/hallway! x
Are you buying it from the silver cross website? they have £200 worth of free gear to go with it. x
