Keep up the good work :) You sound like you've got it sussed, standing back and advising only when asked and of course spoiling the grand kid's rotten are (I think) brilliant qualities in a grandparent! My mum is my saviour, she was brilliant at the birth of my daughter (My OH was more annoying than helpful!) and has been a fountain of knowledge without seeming to impose at all, she helped me through the trials of breastfeeding for the first time and has been priceless for helping me out when I've really needed it, not to mention teaching me and my daughter loads of fun, silly, messy games to play and taking us out to lunch at least once a week :) My daughter calls her Nutty Nanny, usually very loudly in public! x
