MAT B1 form

Hi All, Was just wandering when you gave your mat b1 forms in to your employer. and what happened from that point. Do you have to have an interview about dates and things for when you go on maternity leave and then go back? Also just one more question how many of you have had a risk assessment carried out at work? I work in a school environment and I'm 22 weeks pregnant.

Hi i work in a school too. I gave my MAT B1 in when i got it at around 24 weeks. I had an informal chat wth the head regarding dates for my leave etc but im on a temporary contract that is ongoing while theres funding in place for my position so id asked for a chat anyway as i wasn't sure where i stood with leave ect. They will prob want to know sooner rather than later your dates if they will be aranging cover for you. The head did a risk assesment & gave me a copy.
Best thing you can do if you've got questions is just ask for a chat with the head xx
Hope you don't mind me asking what kind of things were asked during your risk assessment. I'm not very happy at work at the mo as they have messed me about a bit with where they have placed me to work. x

Hi
I handed my MATB1 form in at 24 weeks. I then had an interview to discuss about what im entitled too. (Leave wise and pay)
i wasnt asked when i wanted to leave or when i would be coming back as they assumed i was going to take the full 12 months. If i wanted to go back sooner i had to give atleast 52 days notice.

I was given a risk assessment. Which helped, as i suffer with really bad leg cramps, and they have got a footstall under my desk to support my leg now.

xx
