Removing poop stains from clothes

How do you do it? My LO keeps managing to poop down one side of her nappy and it comes out the side now and again, and a few of her clothes are stained. How do you get the stains out? I don't want to throw them away as I want to pass her clothes on to a friend who is due next year. x

I have had the same trouble, and have been using Vanish prewash spray which is good; if it is badly stained the Vanish Oxi action added to the wash seems to get the stains out. Hope this helps!! xx

I have to say the napisan always works well and it does kill germs etc too. I use it on all my whites - its cheaper than a lot of other alternatives also

i found that if i soaked them in fairy washing powder for about 1/2 hour then worked at rubbing the stain, they came out. i then put them in a normal wash. good luck x

If it's white clothes then soak in Milton solution. Brings them up a treat. Not any good on coloured stuff though as I have found out with ds1. He ended up with tye-dye effect trousers!!!!

I usually add some napisan into each wash and that usually takes care of any stains and also kills bacteria that can live and feed of the milk stains in baby's bibs and clothes etc, For really tough stains just soak them overnight. x
