i was 15 and half weeks with my first scan, not purposely but coz my dates were wrong. On the bright side though, you'll get a picture that resembles a baby much more than if you were only 12 weeks as my sis scan is completely diff to mine! Its amazing how much diff 3 weeks makes! My scan looks like a baby (a skeleton mayb but a baby none the less) where as her's looked more like a wee bean. Xx

Ah right :) 15 and a half weeks does seem a bit long but perhaps thats the done thing in the area you live in? I know in my area and most others, the 1st scan is 12weeks and then another at 20wks.
Did you recently find out you were pregnant? Im guessing they are booking you in as soon as they could. x
we have known for about 8 weeks now n went to the doc straight away, maybe lot of people have been getting pregnant i dont no, just got my hopes up it would be sometime next week. il im sure it will be worth the wait.

I was about 14 weeks at my 1st scan hun. The way I saw it was that the baby would be a little bit bigger at 14 weeks than 12 weeks so the scan picture would be better!!! Every cloud...!xx

Hey 1st question for you..how do you know you are 12 and a half weeks pregnant? I thought I was 12 weeks pregnant when I went for my 1st scan (going from my last period) and I was actually 9wks!

hi everyone,
Im 12 1/2 weeks pregnant i just spoke to my midwife to find out when my 1st scan would be n its not for another 3 weeks that will make me 15 1/2 weeks pregnant before i even get a scan. i dont no why but i feel really upset that its not for ages. has any one else waited this long?
