raincover for travel system

i have a Graco 3 Wheeler Travel System. and i brought the raincover to fit over it as it'll be winter when my LO is born. The cover fits completly over the front of the pushchair and the whole thing needs pulling up to access the I'm worried my LO will get to hot and struggle to breathe in there, but need one as he's due in winter and i don't drive. The travel system isn't completely water proof. Is this just me being over-panicky?

Hi I'm sure breathing shouldn't be a problem as I imagine the testing proceedures that these kinds of products go through are pretty strict. I imagine you won't be out for hours in the rain too? If your LO gets hot there's always coats to open and mitts to take off : ) Not sure how you know when a LO gets too hot though - I'm preg with my first! x
