Weaning Hell !

Hi my son is 7 months and I've been trying to wean him for 2 months I started with fruit mixed with usual milk and then veg like potatoe and carrot. He has never been very keen, so for a change I gave him rusks and milk, which he loved for the first few days and now I'm back to square one. I offer food 3 times a day, but he's not really interested. Any advice would be great :)

The jelly vid sounds great the messier the better!! My sons definitely active hes a non stop wiggle bum never sits still for a miniute especially now hes crawling, I find it hard to keep up and hes loves chasing and terrorizing the poor cat now!
Ah the fun of a cat :) My sisters cat used to sit on her own special area on the kitchen counter (a little separate island bit) and be safe from my little girl who just thought she was the most brilliant thing in the world! now she's 4 and can reach quite far onto those counters, no where's child proof for the cat now, its a good thing she's so good natured :)

I have a video of my daughters first encounter with jelly, It's hilarious :) Plopped it out of the mould onto her tray so it looks a bit like a mini sandcastle and she sort of bats it around for a while before digging her fists in and trying a bit, she didn't actually like the taste of it too much but definitely enjoyed the mess :) Mashed potato with very finely ground mince (her equivalent of pie and mash!) was a firm favourite for a long while! Just keep trying different foods and let him go with it. As long as he's happy and active then I wouldn't worry too much x

my daughter was a pain at weaning. i just used 2 put the bowl of food infront of her and let her do wot she wanted with it (prepare 4 mess) but it worked..she started 2 taste it and put it in her mouth and within a week or so she loved food :) x
Thanks I will give it a try I know he loves getting messy, so this might be a good way to get him started:)x
