We are thinking of trying for another baby in a few months but I am a stay at home mum with our little boy who is 8 mnths. Financially we are fine but we don't get any help apart from the usual child benefit and tax credits but I'm worried that as a new baby always puts strain on finances we won't be able to cope. My son is still little and I don't really want him in nursery full time and I'm really struggling to find a job for the minimum 16 hrs a week, although he would still be in nursery as my partner works 6 full days a week! Just looking for advice because we would love another baby, and wanted to know if anyone else was having the same dilema??
Thanks ladies, nice to know I'm not the only one!
my little girl is 9months now and we have just decided to try for number 2, we are in literally the exact same position as yourselves, we have talked about money, time ect wondering whether now is the right time, but to be honest no time will ever be perfect when it comes to finances etc so we are planning on number 2 for 2010! well thats if we get pregnant that quick! good luck and i am sure you will be fine xxx
do what youe heart tells you xxx
I was in much the same position as you, I'm a stay at home mum and we started trying when my first was 12 months. I fell pregnant straight away and now there's 20 months between my little ones (my second was a month early) It was tough going as the pregnancy wasn't easy and I had to stay in hospital for a few days. The first few months were also hard but now my little boy is 5 months it's getting easier. The kids absolutely adore each other and my daughter was young enough to not get jealous. My daughter goes to nursery 2 mornings a week and she really enjoys it there. If you both feel ready then go for it- it'll be hard in the beginning but worth it!
