I know I'm probably in a panic, and its probably fine, but I'm going on holiday next Tuesday and have just thought about the x-ray/scanners that they have in the airports. I'm 16 weeks pregnant - does anyone know if they are safe when pregnant?? Thanks, Liz x

They are completely safe. I work at an airport & have to go through them at least twice a day. They are at a very low level (although high enough to pick up the things they need to pick up) & u are only through them for a sec just think it's as long as it takes you to take a step.

I hadn't really thought about this before, but I went to Dubai when i was about 5 months pregnant and had no problems.
I am sure they are perfectly safe. Where you off to Liz, somewhere nice I hope?

I did a quick google search as I hadn't thought of this before. The pages I found said it's comletely safe but if you're worried phone the airport you're flying from and ask what their procedures are. I'm sure it's safe though x
