I don't know anything about the procedure but have they not given you the option of having the baby naturally? My mum had me and my brother naturally and we were both breech. She refused a c section and had no problems delivering us with gas and air. Good luck with whatever you decide x

Hi, have a little faith, my son was breech right up until 37 weeks and then he just turned all by himself, lol... Try not to worry to much, x

Gee docs can be so helpful can't they!? Apparently you can play music via earphones down in your pants and shine a torch there and this can encourage baby to turn also - it's worth a go even if doc is right. I'm sure you'll be in good hands what ever you decide - lets hope both our babies turn, there's still time : ) xx
Thanks bbnewmum finger crossed for both of us x

Hi Just caught your more recent post - seems the procedure must be different to what my mum had done (which would have been many years ago I guess) I'd just go with your gut instinct on it, but def hassle your midwife xx

Hi hon Just wanted to post as I'm in a similar position as my baby is transverse (lying across my tummy) and I'm 34 weeks preg. I am convinced that bubs won't have moved by next week (my next appointment with the midwife) I'll prob be offered the same scenario as you. I was chatting to my mum and I was a breach baby - she had me turned twice - I kept moving back to breach! (I engaged on my own at the last minute) I asked her if it hurt and she said it didn't, it just made her feel a bit queasy when I'd slip back to breach position. You could always go for the turn and if it is unpleasant for you then you can ask them to stop. You can also do positions etc to help baby turn naturally - see website http://www.spinningbabies.com/ Swimming and walking is suppposed to help bubs position too - I find after gentle breast stroke my baby has moved up a bit! May be have a good chat with your midwife and you can make a decision without feeling scared, I'm sure she'll put your mind at rest. The internet has horror stories on everything I think, try not to worry xxx
