i have been breastfeeding on demand for nearly 11 weeks now i love doing it and want to do it for the full 6 months, but in the next couple of weeks i have been invited to a party and my mum has offered to look after leah. However i have tried several times but she will not accept a bottle even with expressed milk, my partner has even tried has anyone ever come across this problem or have any suggestions? xx
i haven't had my LO yet so i'm not the best help, but my mum had the same problem with me and had to give me a cup! some babies just really don't like teats!! have you tried the bottles that are meant to be more similar to the breast? if not those could work if you don't wanna use a cup.
When my daughter had a stomach bug and wouldn't even feed my health visitor gave me a doidy cup. They seem to give them to you anyway on your 8 month check. But they let me have one early. She tolerated the cup more than the bottle (which she never liked!)
They can have them earlier than the 4 months it says on most other cups.
