Hi,
Yes you both need to be treated.
You can go to the chemist and get something but if it does not improve I must advise that you see your GP.
Thrush is a naturally occurring yeast infection there is really nothing to be embarrassed about.
The Midwife or practice nurse can see you if you have a real issue with male doctors.
Hope that helps

Hi,
Let me introduce myself, I am Alison Brown one of the gurgle experts, I am a midwife and answer some of the questions that come up on the site.
I have just notice your thread and thought I would offer some advice.
Thrush in pregnancy is very common.
You need to go and see your GP/Midwife to get it checked out.
They will probably take a swab to check it is thrush and give you some treatment.

Hi,Im 31 weeks pregnant with my first baby&I think I have thrush :-s I have researched it on the internet&I have all the symptoms.I've had it for a couple of days now&it's getting really uncomfortable. It's the first ever time I've had thrush&I have heard it's common during pregnancy.Just wondering how I should go about treating it?has anyone else suffered from it?X
as it ya 1st time having thrush u have to got to the doctors and they will give u some cream but tbh i always go to the doctors when i get thrush (had thrush 3 times in this pregnancy) also the creams cost a lot (£11) and plus ya doctor gives u a specail cream that is suitable for pregnancy, take care and hopfully it will clear up soon x
I would go to your doctor because some creams for thrush cant be used when pregnant.
Hope it clears up soon x

the pessery and cream are both safe in pregnancy i was advised not to use the applicator for the pessery and to use your finger instead i got hubby to do it for me natural yoghurt can ease the horrid itchy burning feeling too
my midwife got the doc to prescribe me a pessary and cream about a month ago when I got it (about 28 weeks)
hey if you go to the doc there is one treatment that is safe unfortunatly its a pessary not a tablet but it will help. i also found natural yougurt a brilliant soother. unfortunatly it is one of those things that come with being pregnant . hope your better soon xxxx
