i also have thrush im 11 weeks preg but have passed it on 2 my partner, bless him, we are both 2 embarassed 2 go 2 docs as he might want 2 have a look and 4 me that reali bad cus there only male docs in my surgery, is it poss that we can just go 2 chemist and they give us sumin. xxx
Hi,
Yes you both need to be treated.

You can go to the chemist and get something but if it does not improve I must advise that you see your GP.

Thrush is a naturally occurring yeast infection there is really nothing to be embarrassed about.

The Midwife or practice nurse can see you if you have a real issue with male doctors.

Hope that helps

Hi,

Let me introduce myself, I am Alison Brown one of the gurgle experts, I am a midwife and answer some of the questions that come up on the site.

I have just notice your thread and thought I would offer some advice.

Thrush in pregnancy is very common.

You need to go and see your GP/Midwife to get it checked out.

They will probably take a swab to check it is thrush and give you some treatment.
