I THINK MY DAUGHTER IS LEFT HANDED

I think my Daughter who has just turned 3 is left handed. Sometimes she starts off with her right but ends up using her left. I know it can create problems to force her to use her right, but is there any chance she could change to use her right as she grows?

sorry think this post is quite funny!
its like 'the left handed disability!' lol
im a righty and my partner is a lefty so god knows what our daughter will be, she seems to do equal amounts with both at the moment (shes 10months)
i constantly wind my partner up about his 'dodgy left handed gene' but in actual fact he has better handwriting than me and can do things a lot easier - like use our tin opener!!! lol xxx

It doesn't matter if she is right or left handed... did you know that forcing a child to be right handed when they are naturally left handed can lead to dyslexic tendencies... That causes far more problems than being left handed... honestly leave her be... being left handed has no serious consequences... infact only advantages when it comes to many sports. It will have barely any effect on her future if she is left handed, but dyslexia can be very debilitating... don't change it please!!!!

It's only an issue if people make it an issue, i am right handed but 2 of my boys are left handed and i have never tried to make them write or do things with there right hand, they both seem to be more creative than my eldest son who is right handed. There is no point even trying to change them from wat they are as it will create far too many problems to be honest, when babies are conceived that is when it is determinded what side of the brain that they will use more, it is even the same with eye sight as if you are right handed and cover your left you don't see as well as when you cover the left and look through the right and vise versa?

You make it sound like it's a hideous disease, lol... Don't worry it's really not a bad thing. I have 4 sons, my eldest(15) is right handed but my 2nd(11) and 3rd(4) sons are both left handed, my fourth is only 3 months so i don't know about him just yet but it is not an issue for me as children who are left handed are usually much more clever and creative so let your daughter do what she has to do, like i say don't worry, x
