depo provera injection

it took me 16months to conceive after being on it for a year and with my 2nd baby i had this injection only 1 time! after giving birth & that was just to ease the bleeding and started trying 9months after LO was born it took me 18months to conceive after having it just the 1 time and i had 2-3 periods in 2years it really messed me up but i know people who have conceived pretty quickly & good luck to all of you

thanks every1, im really trying not 2worry about it too much, last day 4 injection is 2nd dec so i know nothing will happen realistically anytime soon it took my best friend a yr b4 she had her baby
ive also got stage 3 endometriosis (a gynae problem which can affect fertility) but had my last op in sept and surgeon said everything was clear and it hadnt spread to my ovaries, tubes etc :)
im quite impatient and have always wanted a baby so im tryin stay calm & not b stressed seeing my gp on friday c if theirs anything he can recommend and would like to start taking the folic acid xxx

I was on depo for over 2 years before i got married and hubby and i decided to try for a baby, it took 6 mths for AF to appear and then another 3 mths for to me conceive. We have a happy 3yr old now - who was born on my birthday! I started taking the depo again in July this year and then decided not to go back for my next injection in Sept as hubby and i decided we should try for baby no 2 - not sure how long it will take to get AF back this time. All i would say is don't get too stressed about it, easier said than done i know, it will happen for you. Add me as a friend if you want hun, happy to chat anytime x x

hey hun i was on the depo for a few years and i came off it in 2006 not to have a baby it was just because me and my hubby were in the middle of buying a house and was really busy the doctor told me a year but everyone says different, anyway it was well over a year b4 we decided to start a family so it was well out of my system by that point. every persons different and it could be less for you, just try not to get to stressed because even for a healthy couple who havnt been on any form of protection can take 2-3 years so it can be a long journey we put our selfs threw, i made the mistake of getting stressed so when i stopt trying thats when i got my BFP. good luck hun
