I absolutely agree....if she stops putting on enough weight then you'd have to continue with the 3 hourly feeds.
Do you wake your baby to feed at 10/11pm? I have only just stopped this feed and mine is 28 weeks and will now sleep 7-7 but she didn't wake from that 10pm feed and went through until 6/7am. Worth a try if you are not doing this feed. My HV said you cant expect them to sleep through until they have 3 solid meals but everyone says different!! Good luck x

My baby is 5 months and still has to be fed every 3 hours day and night because he wasn't putting on weight. He started sleeping through at 9 weeks but then he stopped gaining weight and found it really hard to start putting it back on again. If you're going to make her wait longer then keep an eye on her weight as she could well still need her milk 3 hourly at 11 weeks. It is knackering but you're doing really well with the 3 hourly breast feeds x

I'm not surprised you're knackered!!! Is she definitely hungry after 3 hours? I only ask because with my LO I thought he was hungry when in fact he was crying because he was over tired, bored or at one point, suffering with oral thrush. You could try offering cooled boiled water at night (never worked with my lad though!) to try and make her wait a little longer. That's all I can think of at the moment

Hi, does she feed every 3 hours in the day too? My LO started sleeping a little better from 8 weeks (exclusively bf) and by 12/13 weeks was sleeping 7pm to 7am waking for a feed at 1am or there abouts. Now at 18 weeks he wakes 3 or 4 times a night!!! He's teething which doesn't help, I think he wakes with pain in his gums but then won't go back to sleep without a feed.
yeah 3 hours during the day aswell and im brestfeeding on demand so find it quite tiring could it b that she is a hungry baby my hv has said she is getting enough and gaining weight well.
