hi. i saw my midwife yesterday and told her about it and she didnt seem bothered...she just said your ribs bend 2 the baby so thats probably what it is....so i dont know what else i can do. my ribs still really hurt x
Do you have a pregnancy assessment centre that you can contact?

hi, hope you're feeling more comfortable? With george I had really bad back pain and ribs (get rib pain anyway but worse in both pregnancies!) But, again, he was measuring big on an extra scan I had to have and was born 9 lb 3, 8 days over at home! (Very different to my 7lb 7oz, breeze of a first pregnancy!) George was so heavy by the end, walking any where or even doing housey things was such hard work! So it sounds like you're almost definately going to have a big boy! Think its amazing how you're perservering and that you're adamant to have a natural birth! Hope you feel better x
I would defo go back and see another MW or a doc as you shouldn't be in pain. I had an 11lb 3oz baby and didn't have pain like that (I am 5ft 7" mind). I was huge though - lol.
Hi,
Let me introduce myself, I am Alison Brown one of the gurgle experts, I am a midwife and answer some of the questions that come up on the site.
My advice is to get checked out.
Being uncomfortable towards the end of pregnancy is common but you are discibing PAIN especially when you breath in deeply.
You may need some treatment or you may not either way get checked over.
All the best

i was really uncomfortable at the end, i couldn't sleep eat had no energy, but unlike you i was measuring small right up untill 40 weeks when i was just on the line. when she was born she weighed 9lb 12oz and was 21 1/2 inches so no wonder i was so uncomfortable. i'm 5 foot 6 and normally a size 10 so it was such a shock when she came out such a whopper and i went 12 days overdue so it was torture
