pregnant second time round and more scared than before.

has anyone else gone through the same thing of being pregnant second time round and being more scared than before. my first was an amazing pregnancy and the delivery was only 4 hrs long without any problems. i am absolutely "gripping" it and feel like i don't want to make any choices of birth. i spoke to the midwife today and she says its common,so just wondered if it was so.aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggggggggggg

hi,
just wanted to say that ive just given birth to my third and i was the most scared this time round then ever before.i think with you're first its scary but you don't really know whats coming, then with you're second you have a better idea of what to expect.
all my births went well, long though. at the time and initially after my third was born i told my husband that is deffinetly it NO more but as time is going by i cannot imagine never being pregnant again.
i think its completely normal to be scared as it is a massive thing to go through but its only a couple of months of being uncomfortable and a few hours of pain for a lifetime of joy and love (cheesy, i know) you'll be fine :-)

i've had 2 totally straightforward pregnancies and births. I'm now 20 weeks with my third and am absolutely terrified of giving birth. I worry about everything along the way, got scan on Friday and am really worried, although i have no reason to be. I guess I won't relax until baby is in my arms.

I'm 20+5 weeks gone with my second girl :) My first successful pregnancy was pretty much problem free but this time I have worried the whole way through after a missed miscarriage last year I didn't feel right till after the 12 week scan and even now I panic when she doesn't move for a while! and my biggest worry is that because I was induced first time (they wrongly thought she was small and so there was a problem with her food supply, she was 7lb 2 1/2oz and supply was fine!) that this girls going to go well over her due date and be huge!! I know I want a water birth as I gave birth in a half sitting position last time and killed the backs of my legs with the strain and also had a slight tear (hoping the water will help on both counts!) other than that I'm just taking each day as it comes. Good Luck to you x
