Just been to Midwife...

glad everything is a ok. its funny cos as soon as we tell our selves we are wanting to try for a baby till the day that child leaves home we spend more time worrying for everything in stead of enjoy it,lol but i guess that is what mums are all about. i thought i would be better off this time round ,turns out i am worse.lol keep well and try to enjoy it as much as possible. :)

I will be keeping an eye out for twinges then, I'm getting loads of twinges at the min but more like in the beginning when everything just started growing so I know its probably just my body shifting around and getting bigger lol! I think waiting for the surprise is brilliant, I always said that I would never find out the sex of the baby before the birth but then I got pregnant and we both decided we definitely want to know asap! Maybe with number 2 we will wait and make it a surprise :-) Actually lots of people are more shocked that I DO want to find out! Knowing me, they will probably get it wrong anyway, would be typical! But we're gonna stick to neutral creams and some green and yellow for the baby regardless anyway so its not like we're gonna rush out and buy everything in just blue or pink when we find out..like my friend did bless her! :-) xx

i always think like that everytime i go to midwife i fink something is going to be rong and everything is always perfect i carnt wait to meet my lil girl hehe i was like you early in the pregnecy coz i want it so much i was scrd sumthing was guna go wrong but everything will be fine promise ya bby r lil fighters.x

I started to feel the odd twinge at about 17-18 weeks but it was just every now and again and happened so quick I would wonder if I was imagining it or if I just had wind!!! Then it got more frequent and by about 21-22 weeks it was kicking more and more every day. Before you know it, your little one will be kicking holes out of you and keeping you awake!! My OH's family are hoping for a boy as they only have 1 grandson and 3 grand-daughters! Nobody can believe that I dont want to find out the sex but I cant wait for the surprise! The 1st thing I said at my 20 week scan was 'Dont tell me what it is if you can tell!!'

aww congrats hun, i never stopped worring with both my kids used to hold my breath every time to hear there heart beat andheven now i hold my breath to hear them breath or move. glad every thing is ok let me know what the sex is xx

I'd be completely happy with either tbh but my family are full of girls and I always wanted a brother (bit mean to my sister really!) so it would be nice to have a young boy in the family... and my partner is an only child and it would be lovely for him to have a son to take after him. I would be thrilled either way though, I just decided to find out because I'm gonna find out eventually so might as well let them tell me at my next scan..if they can see! I'm already getting a bit of a bump and can't fit into my normal trousers now! When did you feel your baby kicking? xx

Aww congrats on your pregnancy hun! I panicked all the time until I got to about 21 weeks. Because there was no real bump and no movement I was convinced I was having a phantom pregnancy and they would laugh at me at the scan because I was never really pregnant!! All of a sudden you will start to feel the odd kick or wriggle and before you know it, your baby will be kicking you all day long and its the best feelin ever!! We dont know what we're having, my gut instinct is girl but I'd be happy with either!! Why do u want a boy hun?x

Hi all, just got back from the midwife for my 15 week visit. OMG everything is still fine, lol, im so rubbish at this I keep panicking in between scans & check ups! Took her a few minutes to find the heartbeat and the terror started to build inside me and I kept studying her face to see if she looked worried but then all of a sudden she found it! woohoo! Apparently I have amazing iron levels and my blood pressure is fine. Also my nuchal scan and tests have put me at 1 in 20,000 for downs syndrome which is a relief. Anyway, making the most of feeling positive and happy as in one weeks time I will back on here panicking that something is wrong for no apparent reason. My next scan is 8th Dec so hoping all will still be well with baby for that ... and am deffo gonna try to find out whether we have a boy or a girl. Most of our family have placed bets on it being a boy and I kinda hope it is a boy! xx
