9 months and just started screaming at bed time - please help!!!!

Hey girlies, Any advice is greatly apreciated here. My little girl is 9months and ALWAYS been fine at night time, I could put her down in cot, light off, she will lay quiet and just fall asleep - perfect. But this last week, I don't know what's happened.. I have changed nothing at all and when it's time for bed she is screaming in her cot until it sounds like she is going to be sick rolling on to her front and just going nuts. Sunday night this went on for 2 hrs and last night it went on for three hours. I even tried comforting her in my own bed, the sofa but the minute she started to fall asleep she would sit bolt upright and start screaming. in the end she fell asleep sitting up on my bed until her head was between her knees - what has gone wrong??!!! please help mummies coz its a bit worrying! xxx

Hiya.. my little boy started doing this at around the same age! i was convinced that it was to mark his teritory as if to say im not going to bed when you say! I used to ignore him for as long as possible obviously making sure he was ok and everything. It was realy really difficult because he would scream so loud it would sound like we were hurting him or something but after a while he would get bored and fall asleep.

i found comforting him when he was like this was the worst thing to do so i changed and if i did go in i woud just lie him down tuck him in and leave without a word. It did take a while for it to stop but each night the amount of time it took to get himm to sleep would lessen.

I know ho hard it will be to "ignore" your little one but do try it if you can. Good luck xxx
