getting a cold??

yeah i'm gettin the mad sneezing fits as well!! its amazing how no-one ever tells you how awful being pregnant can be sometimes! lol ah well, will be worth it in the end!!

i've had the same sort of thing for about 5 weeks now only mine has come with mad sneezing fits esp in the mornings and a horrid dry cough one day i'll feel unwell and the next i am ok then ill again its s*it my throat is getting worse tho stated sucking on the occasioal lossenger end of last week and they have helped a bit :(

Hi I've read that hormones etc in pregnancy can cause the the sinus, nose and throat area to be more swollen than usual, so a stuffy nose can be a common complaint. Also eyes can be drier and feel grittier during pregnancy. I had a cold about a month ago and now every night and morning I'm congested, like it just won't fully go. Yeah another marvelous pregnancy symptom! xx Hope it gets better soon : )

thanks! almost wish the cold would just come so i could start getting better rather than feeling just a bit ill everyday lol its more annoying than anything at the minute to be honest! its so hard to tell being ill from just being pregnant lol

I've had this a few times throughout my pregnancy (im 30 weeks), it is like a cold that never quite comes! I do know we're more likely to suffer with congestion and a stuffy nose in pregnancy and also our immune systems are suppressed as a result of us working so hard to grow a little baby! I dont really know if its solely pregnancy related or could just be a cold coming. If you feel you need to take some paracetamol and drink plenty of fluids. And of course, get as much rest as you can. Hope you feel better soon x

For the last 3/4 days i've had really try itchy eyes, a sniffly nose, an itchy throat (sp?) and felt really tired, a bit like i'm getting a cold but i'm still waiting for the cold to actually come :-s could this be another weird and wonderful pregnancy symptom instead?? i'm 26 weeks
