Ok girls if you can help GREAT!!! my little girl is 6 months old, we started to wean her about 2 weeks ago she's bottle fed and the thing is i have not got a clue on how much solid food to feed her how much milk or how often, i breast fed my son and just kindda sailed through that but this bottle feeding has compleately thrown me, i have spoken to my health visitor but she talks so fast and jumps from topic to topic, i have asked her to slow down but to be honest i dont think she can!! so im left with a very confused probably slightly over fed baby girl! please help me get it right, it's drivin me mad!! thanks.xx
Ive worked in a nursery so this is from weening babies at nursery while caring. With milk they are used to that constant stream of milk and it fills them up. waiting for a spoon is frustrating but stick with it.
We (and parents) would give lunch time food. and snack time would be maybe a biscuit for them to chew and then topped up with a bottle of milk.
Feeding food from a spoon is very frustrating for them as they get their food in a flow and instant, feeding takes time to get to the stomach and waiting for the next...but keep with it.
Small jar (or made up) for lunch and every other time top up with milky. But your child will let you know when full haha
