omg this country does my head in,i just want to move!!! me and my boyfriend get £500 a month from his wage as hes just finishing a NVQ course and ive obviously just had a baby, and we just started gettin £140 a week tax credits, i have a car, our rent is £400 a month and a newborn baby who goes through bout amillion nappies and 1 and ahalf tubs of milk a week!
and guess what we've had housin gbenefit took off us cos we earn soooo effin much! arrghhh, but theres people out there, alco's and druggies who get money every day becaus ethey are 'dependant' on something and will die with out a swig of white lightning, im having to go back to work 8 week after having a baby! thanks gordon brown for not letting me have time off with my newborn!
I lost my job last year because I was pregnant and for the first time in my life had to claim benifits. It is hard. We arnt entitled to any money because Dave works though we have both alway worked and payed in to the goverment and I agree with what your saying about dole dosssing druggie scumbags being entitled to everything, it wrong, if they dont pay in to society then they shouldnt recive anything when the time comes for help but you should still be getting your maternity allowence of £120 a week plus child benifit of £80 a month. I would look in to claiming tax credits too as with your income you will be entitled to that too. If you arnt getting the first two you may get back pay but you are DEFO entitled to them
Totally agree you should be entitled to more.....be quick i think you only get 3 months worth backdated xxxx

It really is ridiculous, especially when you look at those people who for one reason or another don't want to work, are plain lazy or like it was said on drugs/suubstances. I just know already,I wont be entiteled to nothing, as when you're a student, no matter what part time job you do, you get screwed over all the time. If you are struggeling, tho, do go to citizen advise and see what happens, maybe they can point you in the right direction. x
oh and i also thought about saying i was living on my own to get that extra money, but i thought if i get caught, could i really face paying it all back and a criminal record for a extra £100 a week, some people get away with it for years, but me, i would get caught after a week
i cant get income support because im not pregnant or 6weeks after giving birth anymore and the goverment says you need £100 to live off a week which when my boyfriend makes £500 a month is more, so no income support so which is why they'e took our housing benefit off us
we get £60 child tax credits and £80 working tax but we jsut had to change something so they have stopped that the same time as they housing benefit so i have nothing to live off now until december when my boyfriend wage finally goes up but thats not the point, yeh a £100 a week to live off would be great if you were young free and single and no worrys, but with a house, baby and a car, and bills, its a load of Sh*te!! should be £100 for each person in the house...
We'r not entitled 2 much. My OH has a decent wage but all i get is MA which is mince! We have so much 2 pay from that Car,Petrol, Rent, Bills etc etc. Its always the way ppl paying there way are worse off. I know so many ppl who claim there single parents and are raking it in. Sometimes i feel so tempted 2 do the same, but its defo not a route i want to go dwn. Id rather pay my way and b skint!x
i totally agree :)

That is horrible there is no way i could leave Seren in 2 weeks time. it takes the mick when you pay your taxes and get nothing in return. tax credits make no sence to me, we aren't entitled to working tax credits because we earnt to much last year. next year, due to the fact that this year i will have earnt pretty much nothing on maternity leave, we will be entitled but i will be back at work and won't need the money as much. My sister moved in with her partner who is american and serving in Iraq right now, they stopped her tax credits in june, she works part time and takes home £300 a month plus Child benifit, she can't take money out of his account because he can't activate his new bank card while he is in Iraq. luckily the base pay her rent and electric but she has to pay for clothes, nappies, milk, Car running costs, food and childcare all out of £380, just because he is american. there combined income is under £20k even when he is in the country and she and her daughter are british so why aren't they entitled.
