Bed time routines

Hi girls im new and im a mummy to a 4 month old baby girl! My question is this: Its bonfire night tommorrow and a couple of the girls asked if i was going. I said no because its past her bedtime and its freezing. The girl said to me that i should not live my life round her. just put her in her pram and dont fuss round her??? I thought thats why you have babies you make sacrifices. But she has her bedtime routine and she really likes the structure. whos right??

its bombfire night 2night isnt it? :s and that girl doesnt no what shes on about. of course they need structure and routine! and it makes u feel good as a mum having them in a routine...having them tucked uo warm in bed when its freezing and late outside. i never have my daughter out at night, i dont think shes ever been outside after about half 6!!

its each to their own really! I would personally say at the age your daughter is, you are right - she will be better off in bed... and would probably sleep through most of it anyway so not worth disrupting her... saying that - my daughters first bonfire night we took her to fireworks - but she was 9 months old and a little more flexible...
