Well, I went to see my midwife this morning for my 31 week antenatal and my blood pressure was definitely high, then she checked my wee and it had protein in it. I was shocked as I feel fine in myself (just exhausted!). I managed to get to 37 weeks with Faith before I developed pre eclampsia so Im 6 weeks earlier this time. Anyway, midwife called the hospital and they told her to send me up for monitoring. I was grateful I had OH with me so we just went straight up there. Got to hospital and another midwife tested my wee again, no protein this time but had leukocytes in (which I had at 28 weeks too). Had the monitors on for what seemed like an eternity and baby is absolutley fine, growing and moving well so no problems there at least! Had my BP done another 3 times and it went down each time so after a chat witha doctor they let me go home. My own midwife's coming to see me on Sunday to check me over again then Im booked in to see the consultant on Tuesday. I just so hope I can keep my BP down and hold onto baby for at least a few more weeks and I cant believe its happening all over again. They told me to rest but how Im I supposed to do that with a very active 5 year old to look after? Im just so peed off :(
I also cant bear the thought of being away from Faith if I have to go into hospital. Sorry for the long post and the moan, I just needed to get all that out! OH is fairly useless to be honest and plays everything down constantly, even having the cheek to say 'we should've just stuck at the one, I knew this would happen again', grrr, I could've cried. I just want my baby here safely, but not yet! x
Hi Could it be that you have just had a bit of hyper tension? I get 'white coat syndrome' and my blood pressure goes way up when I get it taken in a new environment, especially the hospital. I was monitored like you over an hour and it went down as i relaxed down. May be you're stressed at the thought of the return of pre-eclampsia causing your pressure to go up. I always have +1 protien in my urine whatever that means. Even if it is pre-eclampsia it may only get strong enough right at the end of your pregnancy? Anyway big hugs to you it's worrying I know (they thought I was developing it early in pregnancy at first and I know it's not a nice feeling) They will take good care of you and baby. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that your pressure stays stable x Hope I've helped a little PS OH's never say the right thing, it's not in their genes so take no notice ; ) x
Thanks hun, yeah you have helped. I convinced myself that I'd be ok this time round so I was shocked to be toold things look dodgy again! Guess I'll have to see how it goes and hope for the best. Thanks again for replying, hope you're feeling ok yourself x
