Gurgle expert Liz Costagliola says 'Hi sometimes babies get runny stools when they are teething and his red cheeks are also a sign of teething. However it could also be a tummy bug. The main concern with babies who have diarrhoea is that they can quickly become dehydrated. It is really important that you are offer fluids regularly to prevent this happening. If he wont drink much then you can offer things like ice pops to help get fluid into him. If he is refusing fluids then seek medical advice immediately and if the runny stools continue then it is worth taking him to see your GP. Hope he is better soon. Liz.'

I'm no expert but with the rosy cheeks it sounds like teething. I have the same problems with my LO tummy, he is only 8 weeks old and is going after every feed or no more than 2 hours after. Sometimes it has been watery, green or mucusy but NHS direct didn't seem that concerned as long as you keep him hydrated, topping up feeds with cool boiled water. I am going to take him to doctors to get him checked tomorrow just in case there is something underlying as there is no temp, no sick, feeding okish and its been 5 days now. All my signs seem to lead to teething as well at such a young age.
