Hi oh my goodness that is scary! My OH has been painting like crazy ready for the birth of our first child. I've just asked him to stop even though he hasn't finished as to me the smell of the gloss paint was taking too long to go away. I'm so glad I've put my foot down reading this! (I've only got 5 weeks before due date and he wanted to do the stairs, which is a lot as it's a 3 story house) I know when I was little I was allergic to paint and had to go and stay at my grand parents when my dad decorated. Thanks for highlighting it to us all : ) I hope your little grandson makes a full recovery and all family are well xx
Hello to you all, I am Harry's Grandma (15mths) last weekend he and his Mum and Dad (my son) moved out of our home and into a newly decorated flat. He had some kind of virus as his temperature rose sharply, this lead to a cinvulsion and he was admitted to hospital for the night. Next day he again had convulsions (this time full blown) and was again admitted. Following a blood test where my son had to leave the room! all was clear, Doctors say that the paint fumes contributed to this, how scary is that?
