Had what I think were first contractions earlier today. First one was bareable, second one (about an hour later) was hellish and felt like it went on forever! Changing position didn't help, nor did walking around. Was airlifted to hospital on Sunday, got back on Wednesday, and now every twinge find myself wondering if this is it. Living on an island, we don't really have the luxury of waiting and seeing if this is it. Typically, once the doctor got here to check on me, contractions had stopped, and baby had stopped moving. I just want to meet my little boy now! I woke up at half 2 last night, and I haven't been back to sleep since. I feel so achy and uncomfortable ALL the time, even having a nice warm bath doesn't help anymore. My mum's now sat by the phone, all day and night waiting for the call to say I'm being taken away! Just want baby out now! I'm 36+1, so know an extra week would be ideal at least. People saying "oooooh not long now!" every time you see them doesn't help matters either. Gah, just have to sit it out. I'm not very good at waiting =[ sorry girls, just needed to have a rant where someone understood! xxxx
Hi thete! Hey totally understand you need to have a rant - take a look at mine under the thread 'I'm getting fed up now and want to meet my baby' : ) There's a few off us cheesed off at the moment! Hopefully your contractions will kick in properly soon or else give you a break and come in full swing later on! Makes you wonder why we don't grow babies on trees, in a lovely little sunny baby orchard : ) Hope you feel better soon xxx
aw now that would be so much prettier too than the labour bit I bet! It's the fact that if it happens now, I get choppered out. I've done it once with this pregnancy, I do NOT want to do it again! Not my idea of sh*ts and giggles that! least there's a few of us feeling the same... help each other along a bit eh!! hope our babies come soon! xxxx
