Can u take Lemsip whilst pregnant??

~I am 18 weeks on monday and have an absolutely terrible cold and feel like poo...have been taking paracetamol but it doesn't do much for congestion..was just wondering if anyone knows whether its safe to take lemsip..or if anyone can help with a miracle cure!! god i'm sounding like a man moaning!! got 2 poorly children too so really need myself feeling better..thanks girls if anyone can help...xx

Lemsip is not recommended for pregnancy, speak to your pharmacist for suitable cold and flu remedies. Try increasing your fruit and veg intake to increase your uptake of antioxidants and vitamin C.

Your not really supposed to have lemsip because there is something in it that your not ment to have while pregnant. But like Nattumbo said boiled water and lemons do the same trick without all the other stuff in it.

No, you can't take lemsip or any decongestants. Have you tried inhaling steam with your head over a steaming hot bowl of water and a towel over your head? I think that's about all you can do without taking anything.

not too sure but boiled water with real lemons sliced and a bit of sugar has the same effect really!!!
