hmmmm similar type of thing happened 2 me wiv the twins!! had a show which lasted abt a wk or so! this is perfectly normal! i was also walkin arnd dialted by abt 2-3cms for a wk n all! was in hosp for 2wks then got sent home upset n uncomfy! was a nitemare had 2 go bak on the mon 4 a scan then they sed we want u bak on thurs as part of my placenta had stopped workin n 1 of the girls started 2 loss weight! so was then told rite ur avein them 2day by emergancy c-section! i was 34+6days! i had my son at 35wks n he was fine hes 2yrs now! if i were u id keep an eye on ur tummy tightenings! usually babys movements slow rite down 2wards the end! so it sounds like ur prob guna ave baby pretty soon!! yey! dont b scared! it will all b fine! ave u rang the hosp 4 advice? i was like u knew that all my babys were guna b early!! also cheek the colour of ur wee, if its like a straw coluor it cld b ur waters! ask me anyfin u like hun! i'll happily answer!! xxxxx
I haven't phoned hospital, but hospital's over 90miles away (live on an island, leaving soon so I'm nearer) so everything's done through doctor and midwife here. Called doctor yesterday (midwife's on days off, and nearest ones aaaages away) and he came to see me. Didn't want me off the island yet, but he did call me this morning to check nothing else had happened. I had a couple of contractions last night, but not regular at all. It's about 3 weeks now I've had something going on, and still no baby. Gonna start eating curry,pineapple and drinking raspberry tea today I think. Really want him out now... I've had the bit from Disney's Alice in Wonderland stuck in my head for days now, where she eat the sweet thing in the rabbits house, and grows huge, and then they start setting fire to the house singing "We'll smoke the monster out..." Seems rather fitting, expect I'll use curry instead!! I'm 36+1 and for about 2 weeks now I've been having period cramps on and off. I had a show last Saturday, was taken to hospital last Sunday, left hospital Tuesday, and on the way home Wednesday had another show. Cramps haven't really stopped, and I think I had what were contractions today, although they weren't regular enough to count as being in labour. Baby's not been as active as usual since Tuesday morning either (but he is still moving). Does it sound like labour could be on it's way? I have a gut feeling I'm gonna be early, as does my mum and midwife says its likely, and after being taken to hospital, am noticing every single twinge!
