Being Grumpy

Hi, i am very happy however am A bit snappy to my fiance, he is great and i really shouldn't be. He gets up in the night, goes to work all day and really loves us both. Is this due to my hormones?

Gurgle expert Thirza Ashelford says:
Quite possibly!! You don’t say how old your baby is but hormones can take some time to settle down after pregnancy and the birth of a baby but if you feel this is going on for too long then a quick chat with your GP may be a sensible solution.

Have you told your fiancée that you don’t mean to be snappy and explained to him that you could be a bit “off balance” – in the best possible way of course! He sounds a very loving and supportive partner so discussing this with him will probably make you feel better for a start. You could also try looking at your diet – are you eating well and drinking plenty of water? I don’t know if you are breast feeding but even if you are not a healthy diet with plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables really can make a difference to how we feel – and of course a good walk in the fresh air every day – good for both you and the baby! Do make sure that you keep up with friends too, getting out and about and meeting other people all helps to restore the life balance we need when we have young children.

Yes it's your hormones. Your body has been through something huge and it will take a while to go back to normal. Also being tied if LO is up in the night. Having a baby especially your first is a very traumatic thing for your body to go through, just keep an eye on yourself though and see if you get worse x
meant *tired* not tied lol x
