The thing with doctors is, that they sometimes don't explain things to you the way they should. Maybe next time you go write on a piece of paper what you want to know, so you won't forget whilst you're there worried. Sometimes it helps if you bring a friend who can ask the questions on your behalf. If his bloods were abnormal and you now have to go to oxford you may have been transferred to a specialist? In that case they are taking it seriously but are just being their usualy NHS slow self. Obviously with a baby thats unacceptable. Maybe try and ring, stress the urgency and try to speed things up?
You could make an emergency appointment with your GP and ask him all the questions you want answered. Dont forget you can get copies of all reports and stuff he's had done, too. Be persistent and strong with the Doctors. If you dont understand a term, ask him to explain, after all he's the medic you want his advise and not expert lingo. Good luck and I do hope its nothing serious. xx

hi
i had the same when my son was 4 he was constantly being sick, headaches, dizziness and when i took him to docs they so called couldnt find anything wrong but i kept persisting as you know your child and i knew there was something wrong i went to docs with him about 10 - 15 times in a matter of 3 weeks then i finally said do something now i really lost my temeper i then went to my local a and e when i told them the syptoms he had they knew straight away what was wrong with him he had pressure on the brain
one of the docs at the gp said i was a panicking mother and that he had a virus and had to leave him so i said how long am i supposed to leave him 8 weeks i was told i said to that no way was i leaving my son ill for that long he couldnt eat, couldnt drink or dven smell food without being sick when i was at hops i told the staff there what they said and they said if i had he would have died as the pressure was too much we were rushed in that night the next day hehad to have a op on his brain when we finally got home my doc rang me up and said how guilty she felt that she didnt listen to me

go with your own instincts and get something done about your son dont listen to the docs or HV you know him best
good luck hope you get somewhere soon
and im not telling you all of this to put the frightners in you as i wouldnt want to do that but just isten to your gut instinct you know best for you baby

Oh and Ive just been looking at your other posts and I noticed you mention your little one has haemophilia? Would that be associated with nosebleeds? x

Can I ask if you smoked or drank during your pregnancy or if you smoke now? Just a random question so dont think I am being personal :) x

I agree with Claire hun, when it comes down to it, you are the one who has to deal with his illnesses all the time...are they expecting you to just ignore it all?? This is what doctors and hospitals are there for, push them to do their job properly! And so what if it turns out to be something small, how are you supposed to know when it could be serious and when it is not?? Get in there and stand your ground. If they can give you a better explanation of why these things are happening and how to deal with it then fair enough but if all your getting is a dismissive 'oh its because he was premature' then thats not helpful to you at all. good luck hun xx

Hi hun, if I was you I would either be on the phone demanding an appointment with the GP today or take him to your local A&E dept!!!! Your his mum and you know if he isn't well better than anybody else!!! If nobody is telling you what's going on then make them, demand that somebody looks at your child TODAY and don't go anywhere until they do so!!! Good luck, hope he's ok xx
