advice on raspberry red leaf tablets

hi there everyone, i'm 39 + 3 weeks, really pleased i'm so close now. I've been drinking couple cups of raspberry red leaf tea everyday. ran out so decided to buy the tablets instead. not too keen on the taste! can anyone tell me how many I should be taking each day please? baby still not engaged, trying everything, went for long walk today, gorgeous weather. ate whole pineapple last night! another walk tomorrow, hoping to help her get engaged in time! really dont want to go over due date. Also does anyone know how long i have to wait to be induced after due date? if can would like to on due date, but dont know if midwife would allow that to happen. thank you!!!! xxx

My midwife told me on friday that raspberry leaf tea is supposed to make contractions stronger in labour and prepare your uterus. For that alone it's worth trying. I think it is worth a try, because I have been told my my midwife to NOT use the raspberry leaf tea at all, because I am already getting very strong Braxton Hicks. Might do it anyway though, when I get closer:-P xx

Iyaa, I'm 39+4 weeks pregnant and getting fed up now. I was gonna try raspberry leaf tea but don't think I'm gonna bother now after I've read this lol I've been going for long walks too, been having a few twinges but nothing to think that I'm going into labour unfortunately :( It depends on which hospital you're having your baby at as to how long they'll leave you after your due date, you'll have to ask your midwife. I've been told 12-14 days but I've got a sweep booked 2 days after my due date. Hopefully my baby boy will come before then because I'm not looking forward to being prodded and poked about! Good luck xcx

Hi, Raspberry red leaf tea is meant to help make your contractions more effective during labour, therefore hopefully speading things up but isn't meant to start labour off. x

Hard to contemplate I know but sex def works. My midwife told me that sperm releases the same hormones that is in the drip used for induction. It's natures way, I took her advice and my waters broke on my due date in town! lol so stay in the house and have as much sex as poss!! good luck xx
