Olive oil is very good, but does not get to the problem of really bad cradle cap or very dry skin it will just lay on the surface.

Hi if its really bad cradle cap, then use johnsons baby oil,put some on a cotten wool ball rub very gently over the head and leave,do this after there bath. The next day do the same, but do not wash the hair, and on the third day whem you bath them then wash their hair. You should see a big inprovement. If there is still some more cradle cap, then do the same again for two days, then wash hair and it should all be gone.let me know how you get on susie

I find that the Dentinox works a treat.

Whatever you do don't pick off the scaly bits (however tempting) because it can cause infection and make the cradle cap worse. If olive oil doesn't work ask in your pharmacy for cradle cap shampoo, at least it makes their heads smell nicer!
